Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG)
The Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG) will sponsor Germany's bid to host the Ryder Cup in the year 2018, thus making an important contribution to the bid process. Claus M. Kobold, President of the Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG), declared that a contract had been concluded between the Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG) and the company specifically set up for the bid process, RC Deutschland GmbH.
"The fact that Germany is bidding to host the most significant golf event in the world for the first time in the history of the Ryder Cup is not only a historically significant event but also an ideal opportunity to boost the game of golf and its perception in Germany," explains Claus Kobold. "The communicative measures initiated in the context of the bidding process alone will contribute to attracting public interest in the game of golf and providing impulses for growth," continues Kobold. In its function as a promoter of the game of golf, it is only natural that the Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG) will support Germany in its bid.
"We are very glad that the Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG), which has been successfully involved in the promotion of the game of golf in Germany for many years, now also supports our activities," explains the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RC Deutschland GmbH and Vice President of the German Golf Association (DGV), Hans Joachim Nothelfer. "With their current commitment, the Association of Non-Club Golfers (VcG) is making a very important contribution to the game of golf in Germany and the financing of the Ryder Cup bid," continues Nothelfer.
