Franz Beckenbauer

As a player, the "Kaiser", born on 11.09.1945, has won everything there is to win. From 1965 to 1977, he was a professional at Bayern Munich (396 Bundesliga matches, 44 goals) and is honorary captain of the national team as well as of FC Bayern Munich. Alongside Pelé, Cruyff and Maradonna, one of the world footballers of the 20th century. As coach at Bayern Munich, he won the league championship (1994) and UEFA Cup (1996); as coach of the German national side, he was World Cup runner-up in 1986 and won the World Cup in 1990. From 1994 to 2009, he was President of FC Bayern Munich.

Beckenbauer is also a vice-president of the German Football Association and a member of the FIFA Executive Committee. After chairing the bid committee for the 2006 World Cup, he also acted as head of organisation for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
