Access by car, plane, railway
- The golf facility is easy to reach by car via the A9 motorway (Manching exit) as well as the B16 federal trunk road; an expansion to at least 3 lanes is currently in preparation. (The motorway exit is approx. 1 km from the Ryder Cup Venue).
- The international airport at Munich-Erding (99 airlines on 244 routes to 71 countries) is a 50-minute drive away (80 km).
- Manching Airport – perfectly suited to private aircraft – can be reached in 20 minutes (26 km).
- Rohrenfeld station is right beside the existing Wittelsbacher golf course (tee 9). Rohrenfeld station is about 1,500 metres away from the manor house of the estate. Passengers require 13 minutes from Rohrenfeld station to Ingolstadt and 57 minutes to Munich.
Range of Accommodation Options
Within a radius of 30 km around Rohrenfeld, there are at least 35 hotels with more than 20 rooms each. The 35 hotels include five 4-star hotels, 22 3-star hotels and eight 2-star hotels. Jointly, they have a capacity of approx. 2,400 beds. There are numerous other private accommodation options and bed and breakfast options available.
The proximity to the Bavarian state capital means that many international visitors are likely to spend the night in Munich. Munich currently has approx. 400 accommodation options with a total of more than 50,000 beds in various categories ranging from 5-star luxury hotels to simple bed and breakfast options. The Munich Oktoberfest is another attraction for international visitors to the Ryder Cup Match.
Additional accommodation is available in Augsburg (approx. 3,500 beds) and Nuremberg (approx. 9,000 beds).
